Be Thankful

The other day a friend asked me, “How do you know when you’ve made it”. 

For context, I will add “in life”. (Some of ya’ll need Jesus, you know who you are!)

My friend wanted to know how to know when you’ve made it in life. 

Now I guess I could spout off all the material possessions and such that make people look like they’ve made it…

BUT… 

That’s not really how I know.

If you are loved by someone, if you have a reasonable amount of peace to sleep at night, if most of your needs are met, you’ve made it.

I have considered that my dogs drink cleaner water from their bowl than most of the truly poor people do on this planet. 

That right there is something to be thankful for…
